We provide products and services such as bank accounts, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages, as well as asset management, insurance, wealth management and private banking, that best suit our customers’ needs.We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.In this role, you will:Business Money Laundering Control Manager (BMLCM) for UAE Home Finance Team (Mortgages). Proactively assist the management in identifying and containing money laundering & Sanctions risk, reporting of suspicions, monitoring procedures and controls and ensuring continued support to business for effective monitoring, and fostering compliance culture.Perform Sales enablement and Service related activities for the Home Finance team:• To assist the home finance sales team with on-boarding of new customers which involves seeking approvals where required by liaising with FCC, Sanctions and Underwriting teams for advice and concurrence.• Facilitating to report all material and significant breaches of financial crime or potential breaches of financial crime by supporting UAE Home Finance team to raise FC-UAR and related tools• Supporting UAE Home Finance team to raise queries and concerns via Ask Compliance portal to stakeholders such as FCC and Sanctions• Act as a point of contact for issues/ complex queries/ referral for action related to Financial Crime Investigation -UARs. Educate staffs on line of business procedures on AML/ Sanction/ CDD in respect of their business area.• Ensure an adequate understanding of all relevant regulations applicable to their business, and generally assisting with the resolution of FCR issues.• Act as a CDD Champion for the team covering any questions or queries they may have relating to documentation or general queries. Review and endorse ad-hoc requests from Underwriting team with relation to applications and down payment from a Financial crime viewpoint• Act as first level escalation for queries / complaints and CMS champion for Mortgages. Manage escalated complaints to ensure a satisfactory resolution. Work closely with Customer Experience team and all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution Efficiently communicate with customers via calls, emails and face to face meeting to resolve complex and escalated mortgage complaints and queries• To build, maintain, analyse and produce all relevant Management Information for stakeholders including Mortgage advisors, WPB Leadership, C&P and the Head of Mortgages on a Daily/Weekly and Monthly basis. Ability to swiftly produce ad hoc Mis as per business requirements.• To manage Lead Generator relationship and operations related activities which includes, but not limited to, New LG onboarding activities i.e. from conducting due diligence real estate LGs/Brokers, liaising with procurement team for end to end LG onboarding and new contract issuance. Sales lead management, reconciliation of monthly LG disbursements, facilitating and reconciliation of monthly commission payments. Monthly Cadency reporting of LG commissions. Perform all activities related to LG Bi-annual reviews, contract renewals, terminations, and any contract amendment.• To manage escalated customer complaints to ensure a satisfactory resolution by demonstrating TCF principles and DFSA standards, when required.• Conduct training on risk and any mortgage related matters based on new policy and procedural requirements.• Hold a key role within the Home Finance Service team and support the Sales and Service team to process, resolve and address any kind of servicing requests, issues, queries, complaints or any ad hoc requests.• Successfully conclude real estate developer empanelment for home finance (Mortgage) transactions. Conduct all due diligence related activities related to empanelling of Real Estate Developers. Liaise with all external third parties and internal stakeholders to successfully onboard new developers.• Execute ad hoc and complex projects or tasks introduced to streamline processes and enhance controls Requirements To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:Knowledge / Experience• Strong verbal, written and in person communication skills. Strong Stakeholder management.• Excellent Customer Service and communication skills including meeting clients face to face• Ability to effectively interact with external third parties such as Developers, Lead Generators, Customers etc• Proven ability in making decisions and provide advice on compliance, risk related matters, procedural changes etc. Should be able to manage risk while being customer centric.• Ability to effectively lead the team and implement necessary checks and controls, as per requirements. Knowledge and Experience Required• Minimum of 5 years of experience of Home Finance (Mortgages) with detailed understanding of Mortgage policies and procedures• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to produce complex MIs• Proven ability in CDD, analytics, financial crime prevention and activities of lines of business procedures for AML, Sanctions, AB&C, Tax. Broad knowledge of financial crime risk and local regulatory environment.• Proven ability of successfully managing customer complaints (Verbal, Email and Face to Face)• A good understanding of all Mortgage procedures related to new business requirements and existing back book related activities.• Ability to swiftly adapt and implement changes related to mortgages processes & requirements.You’ll achieve more at HSBC.
