Over the last 10 years, The PETSHOP has made a real difference in the pet community and helping pet parents along their journey. This is a great opportunity to join the largest dedicated pet retailer in the region, with 6 retail stores, a high-volume eCommerce business unit, and a mobile app. The business is expanding fast, and this role will help shape the bright future for the business and industry.

**About You**

You will be responsible for driving the sales of our Products, in the market through achieving listings and high levels of distribution and availability, and on-brand merchandising within the retailer customer base. You will build strong relationships with your customer base and drive customer advocacy for our products through educating retailers.

This position will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. So, if are you a driven, results-oriented individual who has a natural flair for building relationships, we'd love to hear from you

**Key responsibilities**

Building relationships
- Engage with prospective retailers to build excitement for the category which ultimately leads to listings for our portfolio.
- Act as the first point of contact with the retailer for any issues relating to our products or services within the area.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize the satisfaction of the retailer.
- Ensure customer base is visited in line with agreed call plan and schedule, that best meets customer needs and demand.
- Effective use of technology to support communication with the customer.

Driving Sales
- Drive sales in partnership with the retailer and with the consumer at heart.
- Makes sure that all products are placed in line with merchandising standards and in a way that is most effective for each store, with the shopper's journey in mind.
- Identify and communicate merchandising requirements to ensure the best possible sales.
- Ensure stock levels are in line with customer demand and properly managed.
- Managing accounts and Merchandising - Ensure proper tracking and timely collection of payments.
- Conduct store visits in line with pre-agreed agenda and messaging.
- Implement tasks in call efficiently and with maximum care for customers' time and requirements during the call.
- Negotiate and manage contracts/agreements with customers for the placement of displays and promotions.
- Communicate product sales promotions to customers effectively, ensuring maximum impact.
- Manage outlet promotional plans and schedule, supervise promoters if needed.
- Find new and innovative ways of meeting the demands and needs of retailers and consumers.
- Implement a journey plan in a way that ensures efficient and effective coverage of the account base.

Reporting & Analyzing
- Understand customer needs and shopper dynamics within the retail outlet.
- Collate feedback from the field and share it with the line manager and sales team.
- Collect relevant Sales data (fiscal, distribution, benchmarking competitors) and share it with the line manager on time.
- Identify and report new business opportunities through a robust understanding of the category and customer behavior.
- Monitor and report on competitor activity.

**Skills & Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of sales exposure in FMCG/ Retail segments in the UAE market,
- Graduate/ higher courses in retail management,
- Good communication skills, Customer care, Product Knowledge, Market Intelligence, Networking skills, Negotiation skills, ability to convince the customers, etc.
- Experience in the Pet industry is preferred.
