About Cvent

Cvent is a leading provider of cloud-based event management solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Channel Sales Executive to join our team.

Job Summary

The Channel Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and closing new business opportunities with key accounts. This will involve creating individual plans of action to successfully convert and close business, as well as presenting cloud-based marketplace products and services to new prospects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Pursue Key Accounts

Develop and actively pursue a list of targeted key accounts by creating individual plans of action to successfully convert and close business.

Build Relationships with New Prospects

Call on and develop relationships with new prospects in an effort to meet and exceed individual and department revenue expectations.

Present Cloud-Based Marketplace Products

Present cloud-based marketplace products and services to new prospects.

Exceed Revenue Targets

Exceed established new business revenue targets for software sales.

Manage Revenue Pipeline

Accurately forecast sales opportunities via pipeline report and effectively and accurately manage personal revenue pipeline to maximize all new business opportunities.

Monitor and Report Sales Activity

Monitor and report sales activity within the system.

Collaborate with Account Management and Client Services Teams

Work with Account Management and Client Services teams to ensure complete customer satisfaction with the Cvent product and organization.

Develop Relationships with Key Decision-Makers

Ensure relationships with key decision-makers for accounts that will provide new business are continuously developed and relationships are strengthened and grown.

Perform Other Duties as Assigned

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience working with ISV partnerships, multi-channel sales organizations, cloud-based marketplaces, and subscription-based online directories.

Revenue-Generating Software Sales Experience

At least 2 years of prior revenue-generating software sales experience (more experience is desired).

Industry Experience

Industry experience in one or more of the following areas is highly preferred: SaaS, app exchanges, and the events industry.

Strong Organizational and Detail-Oriented Skills

Strong organizational and detail-orientation skills, with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-changing entrepreneurial environment.

Able to Integrate Knowledge Across Disciplines

Able to integrate knowledge across disciplines to include cold calling, consultative selling, product demonstrations, closing contracts, operation/process flow, and product function.

Strong Sense of Initiative and Personal Leadership

Strong sense of initiative and personal leadership demonstrating the ability to function independently, but must also be able to contribute to team initiatives.

Strong Business Acumen, Ethics, and High Integrity

Strong business acumen, ethics, and high integrity.
