Cvent's Alliance Partnerships is expanding and is in search of a Channel Sales Specialist. Your main focus will be on acquiring and securing new business opportunities. You will be accountable for achieving a new business quota and will need to showcase your expertise in solution-based selling. Additional duties will include effectively overseeing your Sales Development Representative to ensure that leads are converted into actual clients, as well as collaborating with Partner Success Managers to enhance existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and actively engage a targeted list of Key Accounts by formulating tailored action plans to successfully secure and finalize business deals.
  • Initiate contact and cultivate relationships with prospective clients to meet and surpass individual and departmental revenue goals.
  • Deliver presentations on cloud-based marketplace products and services.
  • Surpass established revenue targets for new software sales.
  • Provide accurate forecasts of sales opportunities through pipeline reporting.
  • Efficiently manage your personal revenue pipeline to optimize all new business prospects.
  • Track and report sales activities within the designated system.
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Client Services teams to ensure comprehensive customer satisfaction with Cvent's offerings.
  • Continuously develop and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers in accounts that will yield new business opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in working with ISV partnerships, multi-channel sales organizations, cloud-based marketplaces, and subscription-based online directories.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in revenue-generating software sales (more experience is preferred).
  • Preferred industry experience in areas such as SaaS, app exchanges, and the events sector.
  • Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills, with the capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Able to integrate knowledge across various disciplines, including cold calling, consultative selling, product demonstrations, contract negotiations, operational processes, and product functionalities.
  • Demonstrated initiative and personal leadership, showcasing the ability to work independently while also contributing to team efforts.
  • Strong business acumen, ethical standards, and integrity.
