The Sales Director – Defense role at Specialist Services Group presents a unique opportunity to drive sales growth and lead a high-performing sales team in the defense sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored to International Prime Contractors and OEMs in the defense sector, focusing on deployable rigid wall shelter systems, engineering services, test and qualification services, and integrated logistics support (ILS).
  2. Sales Target Management: Collaborate with leadership to set ambitious yet achievable sales targets, consistently striving to meet or exceed quotas while driving growth in existing and new markets.
  3. Market Analysis and Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, emerging needs, and potential clients within the defense sector, with a focus on international opportunities.
  4. Client Relationship Management: Foster strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including prime contractors, OEMs, and government entities, to secure new business and expand existing partnerships.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Sales & Business Development Expertise: Proven track record of success in sales and business development within the defense industry.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing sales teams.
  • Defense Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the defense industry, including technical requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Technical Sales Expertise: Ability to communicate complex technical information to customers.
  • Contract Negotiation & Management: Experience in contract negotiation and management, ensuring favorable outcomes for both the client and the company.
