Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Coordinator to join our team at Palma Beach Resort & Spa. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our housekeeping services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run sold room reports to identify vacant rooms and prioritize room cleaning.
  • Verify room status and determine discrepant rooms, taking prompt action to resolve any issues.
  • Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities, including coordinating with other departments such as Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
  • Act as a liaison to ensure seamless communication and collaboration between departments.
  • Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and distribute assignment sheets/workboards to Housekeeping staff, ensuring that all team members are aware of their tasks and responsibilities.
  • Record, monitor, and update the list of 'Do Not Disturb' rooms, ensuring that guests' privacy is respected.
  • Ensure that vacant dirty rooms are cleaned by the necessary time and assign rush rooms and rooms previously on the 'Do Not Disturb' list.
  • Complete required Housekeeping paperwork, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

Requirements:

  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Complete safety training and certifications, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining a positive image of the resort.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information, protecting company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation, ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others.
  • Support team members to reach common goals, listening and responding appropriately to their concerns.
