- Quality Control and Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation in all desserts. Conduct regular taste tests and make adjustments to recipes as needed to ensure exceptional flavor and texture.
- Hygiene and Food Safety: Uphold strict hygiene and food safety practices in the kitchen. Ensure proper storage, handling, and sanitation of ingredients and equipment, and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Provide guidance and training to junior pastry staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge to aid their development.
- Creative Input and Inspiration: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging techniques, and new ingredients. Bring fresh ideas and inspiration to the dessert menu, participating in brainstorming sessions and contributing creative solutions.

- Equipment Maintenance and Operations: Oversee the maintenance and operation of pastry equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working condition. Report equipment issues or malfunctions to management and arrange for necessary repairs or replacements.
- Operational Efficiency and Productivity: Contribute to the efficient operation of the pastry section by managing time effectively, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines. Assist in developing and implementing procedures to improve kitchen efficiency and productivity.
