About the Role

The Relationship Manager is a critical position within our Client Relationship Team, responsible for managing and retaining our book of business. This role requires a high level of expertise in the Employee Benefits industry and the ability to develop strong relationships with brokers and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Broker Management: Serve as the primary contact for brokers, developing relationships and ensuring satisfaction and loyalty for the partnership.
  2. Retention Strategy: Develop and plan a retention strategy with brokers, targeting securing renewal business by promoting MetLife product offerings and added value services.
  3. Client Support: Support brokers/clients in all needs to ensure a long-term relationship and secure retention and upselling.
  4. Industry Expertise: Represent MetLife by demonstrating full knowledge and expertise in the Employee Benefits industry and provide consultative advice to risk and operating areas for the purpose of improving efficiencies, resulting in cost savings and a positive impact on customers.
  5. Partnership Experience: Deliver elite partnership experiences through strong relationship management, anticipating customer issues and requests from Brokers and Clients, capitalizing on MetLife internal capabilities for solving operational and service-related issues.
  6. Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between broker/client and internal MetLife, working with internal stakeholders (Operations, Underwriting, Claims, Reporting) to ensure resolution to high-profile or highly complex customer and broker concerns, providing reliable, consistent, and predictable service across the organization.
  7. External Communications: Coordinate external communications and event engagement with brokers/clients.
  8. Broker Engagement: Organize Broker engagement to present MetLife added value services and resolve customer concerns swiftly and effortlessly.
  9. Client Proposals: Accountable for all client proposals, policies, and any further documentation following the MetLife Employee Benefit guidelines, ensuring policies align with internal underwriting guidelines and standing regulations in the country of operations.
