About the Role

The Sales Engineer - HVAC Controls and Building Management Systems will be responsible for ensuring the meeting of financial targets within the framework of Carrier Global Corporation's code of ethics, EH&S, and Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generating inquiries through market visits to contractors, consultants, end-users, FM companies, and creating controls/BMS maintenance contracts and project opportunities meeting customers' needs.
  • Forecasts and achieves sales and booking for the month, following up on quotation status with customers, understanding their requirements, and coordinating with application engineers to fulfill customer needs.
  • Obtains factory/Supplier prices by completing formalities and required documents, reviews standard sales contracts, and reaches agreement with customers (payment, LC, warranty, etc.). Follows approval process.
  • Reviews and transitions sales orders with costing to the Controls Operations Team in coordination with Finance for sales order approval.
  • Follows payment terms guidelines and payment conditions as instructed by the Finance Department and assists in collections.
  • Participates in weekly/monthly meetings for sales review, aging, and collection.
  • Reviews and approves the costings sheet and quotation according to the approval matrix.
  • Reviews monthly online backlog report.
  • Ensuring customers are periodically updated on the latest software catalogs and information from Carrier wherever applicable.
  • Creating quotations in line with specifications.
  • Performs technical submittals and clarifications with order finalization in coordination with the sales manager.
  • Ensure proper invoicing is being issued by sales coordinators.
  • Follow up the delivery process with logistics.
  • Follow up the payment & collection terms in coordination with the Finance Department.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 45 years of relevant experience in the same or similar industry, preferably in the UAE.
  • Thorough knowledge of the market and HVAC Controls/BMS products/Chiller Plant Manager.
  • Total Quality Management and ISO Process & Procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player, excellent negotiations, and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in English, Arabic will be an added advantage.
