As a **Brand Acquisition Manager** for an E-commerce Marketplace, you will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the marketplace by acquiring and onboarding new brands. Your primary focus will be on building strategic partnerships with brands and negotiating agreements that enhance the marketplace's product offering and increase its customer base.
This role requires a deep understanding of the e-commerce industry, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record in brand acquisition and partnership management.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Brand Acquisition Strategy**: Develop and implement a comprehensive brand acquisition strategy to identify and target potential brands that align with the marketplace's target audience and product categories.
- **Prospect Identification**: Research and identify potential brand partners through market analysis, competitor analysis, and industry trends. Identify brands that have strong growth potential and can contribute to the marketplace's success.
- **Partnership Negotiation**: Initiate contact and negotiate terms with potential brand partners, including commission, pricing, product assortment, exclusivity, and promotional opportunities. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure agreement compliance and mitigate any potential risks.
- **Relationship Management**: Nurture and maintain strong relationships with brand partners, serving as the main point of contact. Continually engage with partners to understand their business needs, address any concerns, and explore opportunities for collaboration and growth while representing the company values.
- **Onboarding and Integration**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, category, and product management, to ensure seamless onboarding and integration of new brand partners onto the marketplace. Coordinate product data, content, and inventory setup to ensure accurate and compelling brand presence.
- **Performance Tracking and Analysis**: Monitor the performance of brand partners on the marketplace, analysing key metrics such as sales, customer feedback, and brand visibility. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize brand performance and drive sales growth.
- **Competitive Analysis**: Stay informed about the competitive landscape, new brands, market trends, and industry developments. Conduct regular analysis of competitor brand acquisitions and partnerships to identify opportunities for the marketplace.
- **Reporting and Communication**: Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate brand acquisition pipeline, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior management. Provide updates on partnership progress, challenges, and achievements.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a** Brand Acquisition, Retail Buying, Brand manager, Merchandising**:
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken), Arabic would be good to have.
- Proven experience in brand acquisition, strategic partnerships, or business development, preferably in the e-commerce industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in using CRM systems, project management tools, and analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, and online retail industry trends.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
