Job Summary:


The Purchase Officer is responsible for acquiring goods and services for the organization at the best possible price and quality.

This role involves identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of purchases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the purchasing manager to run the purchasing department
  • Research potential vendors
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Review quality of purchased products
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures (Import / Export)
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
  • Negotiation skills
  • Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary.
  • Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
  • Manage Warehouse and Drivers In absence of Warehouse In charge
  • Working with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to use purchasing software
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management with at least three years of experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective supplier relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with numbers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management principles.

Pay:
AED4, AED5,000.00 per month
