BUSINESS DEVELOPMENTREPRESENTATIVEJOB SUMMARY The Business DevelopmentRepresentative I is a central point of contact for the IntegratedReservoirs Solution (IRS) business unit clients utilizing the RAPIDtechnologies and services. The Business Development RepresentativeI position not only provides services for the domestic market butalso presents a global overview for current and potential clientsthroughout the industry.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties maybe assigned.
  • The role of theBusiness Development Representative I is to develop increase andmaintain business for the business unit.
  • TheBusiness Development Representative I must be able to communicatewell and have a working knowledge of the business needs of businessunit clients. Thorough analytical experience/expertise is essentialfor supporting the business unitproducts.
  • Works closely with the rest of thebusiness unit to assist in identifying system improvements forcurrent or future projects.
  • Make suggestions tobusiness partners in leveraging technology to improve or automatethe rendering of information used by the businessunit.
  • Other responsibilities includemaintaining client portfolios and relationships. The definition ofmaintaining will include receiving and distributing all clientinformation including instructions requirements questions andconcerns. Contact with the client on a regular basis is required.This may include meetings office visits lunch/dinner appointmentsconferences and seminars as well as telephone contact with theclient.
  • Communication with the BusinessDevelopment Manager is required and essential in order to solveclient problems in a proactive and timelymanner.
  • The Business Development RepresentativeI is expected to maintain good client relationships with currentclients and have a knowledge of the market place and industry inorder to forecast new business.
  • The BusinessDevelopment Representative I must be available to assist clients atall times. Cell phones and laptop computers are made available toenable the Business Development Representative I to operate outsidethe office and outside of office hours. Domestic travel will berequired.
QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS To perform this jobsuccessfully an individual must be able to perform each essentialduty satisfactorily. EDUCATIONAND/OR EXPERIENCE College degree requiredwith an emphasis in the sciences preferred. Two (2) years ofexperience with business development. Background in core analysisfluid analysis and well completion a plus.
OTHERKNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Demonstrated creativeproblemsolving skills focused on datadeliverables.
  • Knowledge of Spotfire or similardata visualization software preferred. Experience in R aplus.
  • Willingness to pursue further in DataAnalytics & BI.
  • Demonstrated ownership& leadership of analytics and/or datadeliverables.
  • Good knowledge of computer andprograming languages.
  • Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analyticorganization presentation skills; ability to manage multiple tasksunder tight deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate theability to exercise sound independentjudgment.
  • Must be proactive in meeting customerneeds and have an enthusiastic approach to selling and marketingour services.
  • Ability to interact effectivelywith client and Core Lab personnel seekinginformation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend technicalinstructions correspondence and memos. Ability to write technicalcorrespondence. Ability to effectively present information inoneonone and group situations to customers and/or other employeesof the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Working knowledge ofAlgebra. Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all unitsof measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
REASONINGABILITY Ability to apply commonsenseunderstanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.Ability to resolve problems with minimum supervision.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS Validdrivers license and a good driving record required.
