Position Overview

As a Senior Accountant at Christian Dior Couture, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial integrity of our operations. Your expertise will ensure that our accounting practices align with industry standards and support our luxurious brand image.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Accounting Oversight: Supervise the daily accounting functions necessary to uphold the integrity of the company's general ledger.
  • Data Management: Maintain precise and current accounting records for capital expenditures, prepayments, and accruals.
  • Payroll Management: Process and reconcile monthly payroll accurately.
  • IFRS16 Compliance: Ensure that all data is recorded in accordance with IFRS16 standards.
  • Financial Reporting Understanding: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the financial reporting framework and general ledger structure.
  • Timely Reporting: Guarantee the punctual submission of all monthly financial reports.
  • Post-Close Reconciliations: Oversee and review all post-close reconciliations, ensuring that all balances are well-supported and documented.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside other accounting professionals to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Year-End Audit Preparation: Prepare for and facilitate a smooth year-end audit, including the necessary reports for regulatory compliance.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure that the company's management principles and policies are consistently implemented.
  • Accounting Controls: Maintain accounting controls by formulating and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Balance Sheet Management: Reconcile, analyze, and uphold accurate balance sheet accounts.
  • Cost Invoice Review: Evaluate and analyze additional cost invoices, including freight and duties.
  • Audit Support: Assist with requests from both internal and external auditors.
  • Financial Closing Support: Contribute to monthly financial closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Process Improvement: Drive enhancements and automate workflows to increase efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams to support overarching business processes.
  • Independent Work: Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Tax Declarations: Prepare VAT, WHT, and CIT declarations as required.
Candidate Profile

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the luxury retail sector.
  • Proficiency in the SAP Finance module.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to thrive under pressure with a strong work ethic.
