Job Overview
As a pivotal member of our finance team at Petra Insurance Brokers, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the accounting operations and ensuring financial integrity. Your expertise will contribute to the growth and stability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and assess the performance of the accounting team within a dynamic environment that encourages growth and maintains relationships with insurance partners.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate month-end financial closings.
  • Comprehend and implement the financial strategy, operationalize the finance manual, and assist in the development and enforcement of internal controls.
  • Engage with both external and internal auditors to facilitate prompt audit completions.
  • Ensure adherence to VAT regulations and manage the filing of returns, along with expertise in reporting to regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee banking operations, conduct monthly reconciliations, and ensure timely settlement of expenses in alignment with cash flow forecasts.
  • Prepare payment proposals, execute payments, and allocate funds for policies and commissions for sub-brokers.
  • Conduct quarterly account closures and reconcile accounts with insurance providers.
  • Record invoices for life insurance accounts and maintain reserve accounts for agents.
  • Manage schedules for gratuity, accruals, and depreciation.
