Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at ALDAR. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Financial reporting and budgeting team in achieving efficient and effective monthly financial recording, management, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Review and process journal entries in the ERP system to ensure accuracy and relevancy of the entries.
  2. Invoice and Payment Processing: Review development progress invoices and payment certificates to process in the ERP system.
  3. Documentation and Coordination: Ensure complete documentation and coordinate with relevant authorities to release payments from the Escrow account.
  4. Month-End Closing Support: Provide support to the supervisor during the month-end closing process.
  5. Inter-Entity Transactions: Handle Inter-Entity transactions and ensure monthly balances are reconciled with each relevant Inter-Entity.
  6. General Ledger Analysis: Monitor and analyze the General Ledger of the parent Entity to identify and transfer data to the relevant Entity.
  7. GL Account Analysis: Perform GL account analysis to ensure accuracy of balances in the proper GL account.
  8. Project Shareholder Loan Transactions: Track project shareholder loan transactions and account for them as per the agreement terms.
  9. Financial Data Analysis: Collaborate with the Project team to collect, analyze, and interpret data and provide support to the team with the status of financial information.
  10. Expense Booking: Liaise with the AP team to ensure project expenses are properly booked on a timely basis.
  11. Auditor Support: Liaise with the external auditor and provide requested information.
  12. Project Progress Tracking: Keep track of the development progress of the project.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  2. Professional Qualification: Professional accounting qualification e.g. CPA, CIMA, CA, ACCA is preferred.
  3. Experience: Min of 4+ years of experience in Financial and management accounting in a managerial position.
Technical and Interpersonal Skills
  1. International Accounting Standards: Knowledge of and ability to apply international accounting standards.
  2. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to policies and adhere to internal controls.
  3. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  4. Task Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  5. Software Skills: Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
  6. ERP System: Proficiency in using Oracle ERP.
  7. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge and ability to apply International Accounting Standards.
  8. Real Estate Industry Experience: Real Estate industry experience is considered a plus but not mandatory.
