Role Overview

As an integral part of our Spa and Wellness team, you will ensure a remarkable experience for all guests and visitors:

  • Guest Experience: You will contribute significantly to creating a positive and unforgettable atmosphere for our Spa and Wellness clientele.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate closely with the Spa and Wellness department head and team to facilitate smooth operations and enhance service delivery.
  • Leadership: Serve as a mentor to junior team members, providing guidance and training while supporting the Director of Spa in her absence.
  • Team Management: Oversee and manage the recreational staff, including attendants, lifeguards, and personal trainers.
  • Program Development: Design and execute recreational programs and events, demonstrating effective budgeting and financial oversight.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Work in conjunction with other hotel departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
  • SOP Maintenance: Keep all standard operating procedures updated and implement necessary modifications.
  • Safety Assurance: Guarantee the safety of all members and guests utilizing the gym and pool facilities.
  • Facility Management: Maintain the Spa and Wellness amenities and equipment to ensure they are in excellent working condition.
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise service delivery and recreational activities, ensuring high standards are met.
  • Daily Operations: Assist in the routine management of pool and gym activities.
  • KPI Monitoring: Track key performance indicators and provide analytical reports to the Director of Spa as required.
  • Financial Analysis: Evaluate financial performance and assist in budget formulation.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the Director of Spa on strategic initiatives, marketing efforts, and revenue enhancement strategies.
  • Staff Development: Conduct training sessions, mentor the Wellness team, and promote incentives to boost performance and departmental revenue.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assist in assessing employee performance and offer constructive feedback for professional growth.
  • Operational Assistance: Support Spa and Wellness operations as necessary.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Implement and monitor cleaning and maintenance checklists for relevant staff.
  • Facility Presentation: Ensure all recreational areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Revenue Optimization: Engage in achieving individual and departmental revenue targets through effective upselling of services and products.
  • Exceptional Service: Deliver outstanding guest service by promptly addressing and resolving any concerns, ensuring all needs are met.

Qualifications

  • Bring your unique personality and enthusiasm to the role and the Spa and Wellness team.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities from previous supervisory or entry-level managerial positions in a luxury spa setting.
  • Proficient in spa therapy techniques, client consultations, and product knowledge.
  • A background in therapy is advantageous.
  • Ability to effectively train and mentor team members.
  • Experience in managing complex guest situations, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Exhibit strong team spirit, empathy, and a guest-centric approach.
  • Willingness to assist with spa treatment bookings as needed.
  • Familiarity with administrative responsibilities such as employee scheduling, performance evaluations, and financial responsibilities within a spa context.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation, are essential.
  • Proficiency in English is required, as it is the primary language used in our hotel.
