Role Overview

As an integral part of our Spa and Wellness team, you will ensure a remarkable experience for our guests and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating a positive and memorable atmosphere for all Spa and Wellness patrons.
  • Providing essential support to the Spa and Wellness facility, collaborating closely with the department head and spa team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Serving as a mentor to junior recreation team members, guiding and training new and existing staff while supporting the Director of Spa.
  • Supervising and managing the recreational team, including attendants, lifeguards, and personal trainers.
  • Planning and executing recreational programs and events, demonstrating strong budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Coordinating with other hotel departments to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implementing necessary updates.
  • Ensuring the safety of all members and guests in the gym and pool areas.
  • Upholding high standards for the maintenance and usability of Spa and Wellness facilities and equipment.
  • Overseeing the operations and service delivery of designated recreational facilities and programs.
  • Assisting in the daily management of pool and gym operations.
  • Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and providing statistical reports to the Director of Spa as needed.
  • Analyzing financial performance and assisting in budget planning.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Spa on strategic initiatives, marketing efforts, and revenue-generating strategies.
  • Conducting staff training and actively promoting incentives to enhance performance and contributions to departmental revenue.
  • Assisting in employee performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback for growth.
  • Supporting Spa and Wellness operations as required.
  • Implementing cleaning and maintenance checklists for relevant employees and ensuring compliance.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in all recreational areas.
  • Participating in achieving individual and departmental targets to optimize revenue through upselling services and retail products.
  • Delivering exceptional guest service by promptly addressing and resolving guest concerns, ensuring all needs are met.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Your unique personality and passion for the Spa and Wellness team.
  • Strong leadership skills developed through previous supervisory or entry-level managerial roles in a luxury spa environment.
  • Proficiency in spa therapy techniques, client consultation, and product knowledge.
  • A background in therapy is advantageous.
  • The ability to effectively train and mentor team members.
  • Experience in managing complex guest issues and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • A strong team spirit, empathy, and a guest-centric approach.
  • Flexibility to cover spa treatment bookings when necessary.
  • Familiarity with administrative tasks such as employee scheduling, performance evaluations, and financial responsibilities within a spa setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service ethic.
  • Proficiency in English, as it is the primary language used in our hotel.
