Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Food Preparation Specialist to join our culinary team at Marriott International. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking food, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  2. Food Safety and Quality: Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, and prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards.
  3. Cooking and Presentation: Prepare and cook food according to presentation standards and food preparation checklist, and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
  4. Food Service: Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles, and check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
  5. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment, and set up and break down work station.
