**PURPOSE OF JOB**
The purpose of the role is to oversee and manage the organization's financial activities, ensuring fiscal responsibility, sustainability, and compliance with local regulations. The role contributes to the overall success of the property by providing financial insights, facilitating decision-making, and promoting efficient financial operations.
**MAIN DUTIES**
- **Culinary Expertise**
- Identify, evaluate, and select eco-friendly suppliers for all retreat needs, including food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and amenities.
- Execute culinary techniques with precision, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, adhering to sustainable and organic principles.
- Develop and implement new menu items in collaboration with the culinary team, considering local and seasonal ingredients.
- **Main Responsibilities**
- Oversee a specific kitchen section (e.g., pastry, grill, or seafood) and ensure all dishes meet the established quality and presentation standards.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff, maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage the section's daily operations efficiently.
- Source and select locally-sourced, organic, and sustainable ingredients whenever possible, minimizing food waste.
- Adhere to hygiene, safety, and eco-friendly practices in food preparation and storage.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients.
- Contribute creative ideas and assist in developing seasonal and specialty menus.
- Monitor customer feedback and adjust menu items accordingly, emphasizing guest satisfaction and sustainability.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
- Ensure all equipment is used and maintained correctly, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Flexibility to work in different sections of the kitchen as needed, ensuring a well-rounded culinary skill set.
- Assist in catering for special events and private functions as required.

**JOB SPECIFICATION**
**Qualifications**:
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred.
**Experience**:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or a similar role in a high-end or eco-conscious establishment, preferable in hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of sustainable and organic culinary principles.
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Attention to detail and creativity in culinary creations.
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus).
