Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Marketplace Manager at CHALHOUB Group, you will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies to drive growth and expansion in our marketplaces.

  1. Commercial Strategy Development: Develop and implement commercial strategies to accelerate marketplace growth for each partner, including setting financial targets, budgets, and incentives to support key partners.
  2. Marketplace Oversight: Drive strategy and oversight of several marketplace e-commerce channels, responsible for the product/channel mix and optimization between marketplaces on a weekly basis.
  3. Forecasting and Planning: Plan weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts for channels, as well as item and category projections for inventory management.
  4. Partner Management: Manage the relationship with key partners, including management of account expectations, forecast, and individual account growth.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the As is Business team, CRM, and digital marketing on acquisition and retention to grow our share of business.
  6. Marketing and Promotion: Define a marketing calendar, including promotions and product launches, to monetize the marketplace.
  7. Business Review and Analysis: Lead monthly business reviews with key partners, identifying growth opportunities and benchmarking and improving the UX in partnership with the product team.
  8. Initiative Prioritization: Prioritize initiatives based on expected ROI and shape the product roadmap.
  9. Culture and Ambassadorship: Be a positive ambassador of the broader e-commerce organization and culture.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Industry Knowledge: Strong connections in the retail and beauty industry, commercial knowledge, including understanding margins, contracts, and merchant/brand relationships.
  2. Technical Expertise: Technical experience with marketplace software, specifically Mirakl, and P&L ownership experience.
  3. Networking and Relationship-Building: Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  4. Commercial Negotiation: Ability to handle commercial negotiations.
  5. Marketplace Knowledge: Knowledge of logistics, customer service, and legal constraints within a marketplace environment.
