    • Provide a warm and friendly welcome to guests, leading them to their table and ensuring they have everything they need.
  • Reservations and Guest Flow
    • Manage table reservations and effectively control the flow of guests to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience.
  • Hostess Station and Surrounding Areas
    • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hostess station and surrounding areas, including menus and other materials.
  • Guest Database and Communication
    • Update and maintain the guest database, ensuring that all guest information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Complaint Resolution and Communication
    • Respond to guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management as necessary.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration
    • Work closely with other departments, including wait staff and bus staff, to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
  • Inventory and Operations
    • Assist with quarterly, bi-yearly, and yearly inventory of operating equipment, ensuring that all necessary materials are available and in good working order.
  • Training and Development
    • Train wait staff and bus staff in hostess standards and procedures, ensuring that all team members are equipped to provide excellent service.
  • Pre-Opening and Peak Period Support
    • Assist with pre-opening preparations, ensuring that the restaurant is ready to receive guests and that all team members are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including assisting with operations in other Food & Beverage Outlets during peak periods.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Secondary education
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a hostess in a luxury hotel and/or restaurant
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Captain/Team-leader
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
    • Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish a good rapport with guests
    • Full knowledge of restaurant's seating/table plan
    • Computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
