Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hostess to join our team at DAMAC. As a Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Relations
    • Represent the outlet with a genuine smile and greetings at the reception
    • Display friendly and pleasant attitude towards guests and colleagues
    • Ensure each guest receives the highest quality of service
    • Ensure fondly bid farewell to every customer that departs the restaurant and invite them back
  • Restaurant Operations
    • Open the restaurant for business at the prescribed time each shift
    • Inspect the cleanliness of each section of the dining room and make necessary improvements
    • Set up the host/hostess stand, review the reservation book and make recommendations as to the setup of the room
    • Pick up the daily menus and insert them properly in their covers
    • Inspect every menu and list to ensure their immaculate condition and appearance
  • Communication
    • Answer telephones according to standards and take reservations or provide information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel service
  • Closing Shift
    • Ensure side stations, menus, magazines and the hostess desk is clean and tidy before closing the shift
Requirements
  • A total of 2-3 years Food and Beverage experience
  • 2 years minimum in a similar role in a 5 * international environment
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Organized and well planned
  • Able to work with speed and efficiency throughout maintaining positive attitude
  • Up-selling skills training, HACCP
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of Micros system
