**Significant relationships** Members, prospective Members and clients, and strategic partners;
local CCS, energy and climate stakeholders
- Advocacy team to support thought leadership outputs and to support

advocacy activities; and
- Business Services to ensure timely and efficient delivery of finance and

governance requirements in the MENA Region
**Position purpose**
The MENA Region Business Development manager will support the Head of MENA Region in expanding the
Global CCS Institute’s presence, profile, influence, and members in the region. This will be done primary
through engaging with existing and prospective Institute members and advocating for and raising awareness
of CCUS among key stakeholders.

**Key responsibilities**
- Create, maintain, and grow effective relationships with potential new and existing members and

clients.
- Working with Head of MENA Region, identify, pursue and secure new members located in the

MENA region.
- Support the needs of existing members in the region.
- Produce thought leadership reports on CCS topics relevant to MENA, in collaboration with Institute
- experts around the world.
- Promote the Institute’s services amongst target sectors in government and industry as appropriate
- and assess future levels of local demand.
- Identify, develop, and deliver local Institute-branded CCS events, such as seminars, workshops or
- webinars.
- Identify and engage with potential CCS-related partners in the region.

**Skills and experience**
**Essential**
- Experience in business development and relationship management activities.
- Deep knowledge of CCS and/or energy transition issues, whether in a project development, strategy,
- policy and advocacy or applied analysis context.
- Previous local experience in the GCC region in a client-facing role with applied understanding of

local business practices and preferences.

**Desirable**
- Demonstrated business development and ongoing account management experience within an

engineering, energy or consultancy organisation.
- A strong existing network amongst local industry, government bodies and agencies.
- Ability to work independently building a strong local business presence.
