Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

**In this role, you will**:
The Fraud Credit and Control Services (FCCS) function plays a critical role in driving accountability and ownership for material risks and controls across the First Line of Defence. The function ensures effective non-financial risk management is at the core of all activity. Additionally, there is a increase regulatory focus on Financial Crime, driving the importance of Business Financial Crime Risk function within FCCS. This role reports to the WPB Head of Fraud Credit and Control Services (FCCS) for UAE. It is fully accountable for the successful Business Financial Crime Risk Management as well as Risk and Control Management in UAE.
- The role holder will act as a role model, demonstrating active leadership and communication. As a senior leader they need to be able to operate at executive level, within WPB and across Lines of Businesses. The Head of Client Risk Management will:

- Fully responsible and accountable for successful Business Financial Crime Risk Management and related activities to manage, mitigate and escalate Financial Crime Risk.
- Operate as a point of accountability for overseeing execution of effective Operational Risk Framework and Non-Financial Risk with the deployment of an integrated approach to manage risk as well as internal controls to ensure timely decision making or funding for risk mitigation.
- Ensure appropriate management in the business of the key Non-Financial Risks (NFR), including but not limited to RC, Fraud, FCC, Model Risk, Cyber, Third Party, Legal and Resilience Risk to within risk appetite.
- Oversee all activities completed by entity CCO utility team, within DBS, to ensure to maintain high quality across risk management systems.
- Continuously enhance quality of reporting across Risk and Financial Crime management systems and find streamlining opportunities.
- Ensure coordination between WPB FCCS and different GB/GF including EMEA WPB CoE to ensure embedment of risk and control framework, as well as sound Financial Crime Risk and regulations management to mitigate all risks.
- Provide advice and guidance on the maintenance of an effective internal control environment and management of Financial Crime risk within WPB (e.g. advice related to Customer Due Diligence including Special Category or Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), actions related to Business intelligence & surveillance, Customer on-boarding journey/channels/Products, Customer Exit Management, etc),
- Ensure quality output of control monitoring and performance data and issue management by entity CCO utility team as well as the Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (AB&C) risks related activities within BFCR.
- Ensure timely executing control monitoring and testing programs for entity related controls on behalf of WPB including SOX controls and management of entity level issues.
- Support WPB entity level Risk Owner or CEO attestations and regulatory agenda. Oversee accuracy and completion of entity level activities e.g. Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA) and periodic or ad-hoc Regulatory Reporting to Central Bank of the UAE, Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).
- Oversight of remediation of issues arising from control monitoring and testing.
- Facilitating data requests for Compliance Assurance reviews, Audit, Regulatory reviews or periodic /adhoc reporting and thematic or strategic reviews.
- Oversight and challenge of procedures produced by Primary operations including AML LOBP and Sanctions LOBP.
- Challenge of RCA outputs, particularly the details of key controls.
