Based in the Dubai office in the DIFC undertaking a key leadership role taking responsibility for all non-production related activities. Focus on delivering effective, efficient, proactive and embedded operational excellence and ensuring that all outcomes support the overall strategic objectives of the business unit.
- Assisting the Leadership team in all aspects of running day to day operations whilst contributing to the implementation of key strategic initiatives across the region
- Supporting a culture of continuous process improvement and operational excellence.
- Supporting change management across areas including process, systems and structure
- Working at a group level to ensure global best practice is implemented throughout the business unit
- Business planning -preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for all IMEA legal entities/regional teams
- Monthly monitoring of actual booked brokerage vs forecast
- Liaising with internal support team to ensure revenue is booked/accrued in line with regional forecast
- Assisting with revenue analysis plans and monthly actuals
- Monitoring new business pipeline and prepare reports for MEA management team.
- Managing the relationship between the regional business unit and key stakeholders in other locations including senior Legal, Compliance, Finance, HR, Operations, Technology and Project colleagues
- Overseeing, enhancing and improving existing policies and procedures and developing the operating platform for the regional business across London, Dubai, Johannesburg, Mumbai and Riyadh
- Liaising with colleagues across multiple locations including London, Dubai, South Africa, Mumbai, Saudi Arabia and Witham on all business support matters
- Working with Head of MEA BSS to;
- Ensure BSS regional team is adequately resourced and structured based on business needs and growth
- Continual review and update internal workflows and processes to ensure BSS team is working in the most efficient way possible
- Monitor and manage adherence to Professional Standards, Quality Assurance reviews etc.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining relationship between the business and CSS
- Regular interaction with CSS Leadership and involvement in key initiatives/projects in relation to the servicing of IMEA Clients
- Engagement with CSS Relationship Managers and oversight of activity
- Monitoring of and interrogation of MI from CSS in order to ensure all functions undertaken by CSS (risk capture, premium collection and recon, credit control etc) are completed by CSS in line with agreed SLA’s/KPI’s
- Supporting the office in Dubai for operational office matters, including office space, IT, Visa allocations etc.
- Responsible for local regulatory Compliance functions/tasks in relation to GC Middle East legal entity - Quarterly/Annual reports, Business Plan, Client List, Premium/Claims data etc
- Active Business Resilience Coordinator for Dubai office - undertaking annual Business Impact Analysis and Business Resiliency plan and testing exercises
- Lead of IMEA Executive Monthly Council meetings
- Part of BSS Global Working Group led by Global COO
- Active IT Technology Champion for Dubai office - Monitoring and reporting on all IT related matters
- Responsible for submission of Quarterly Executive Summary for Marsh GC UK Board

Role Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years senior Operations Leadership experience (Must have) Experience in Insurance Industry - Reinsurance as a preference (Strong advantage)
- People Management experience and skills (Strong advantage)
- London Market experience (Strong Advantage)
- IMEA (India, Middle East and/or Africa) experience is an Advantage
