What you’ll do
As Business Development Representative (BDR) you will be responsible for developing new business as well as maintaining and driving sales at accounts to achieve efficient and profitable sales of the company’s products to targeted levels. Assist the team to optimise existing accounts and prospects. Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and new accounts. Interface with other departments as needed to drive business within accounts and resolve any issues that may arise. Provide direction / assignments to Account Executive team to help develop sales business.
How you’ll do it- Demonstrate an ability to build and/or establish strong relationships with new accounts and within major existing accounts including product managers, buyers, planners, etc.- Meet or exceed sales and profit goals established by upper management- Develop and Execute upon business plans with Business Development Manager, NAM or Sales Director to meet those goals
Support the assigned Senior sales function in the following areas:
- Document and Pricing Management:
- Prepare and manage pricing documents, proposals, and related materials.
- Ensure all documents are accurate, up-to-date, and submitted on time.- Draft professional responses and escalate complex inquiries when necessary.- Interdepartmental Coordination:
- Liaise with finance for claims, approvals, and account-related issues.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment on deliverables.- Report Preparation and Data Management:
- Compile and analyze reports for internal and client-facing use.
- Maintain accurate records in the company’s business systems.- Operational Support:
- Manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.- Collaborate with entire sales team including channel support and other BDRs/BDMs to ensure best practices and information are shared to maximize results and achieve goals- Assist customers with all account related questions, issues, or concerns. Provide accurate, timely information to the customers regarding inquiries such as products, pricing, and quotes- Assist sales team with all account related questions, issues, and concerns- Follow the sales team’s procedures for managing and maintaining opportunity pipeline, quotes, bids, etc. and be prepared to present that information when requested- Analyse and understand industry market trends, competition, products, and pricing that may impact sales efforts and communicate this information to all sales management and other departments as necessary- Conduct and/or coordinate sales and training meetings as required. Attend all required meetings- Review and analyse daily sales and compare actual v. projected / plan results and be prepared to present that information when requested- Provide positive reinforcement and constructive criticism to team members and escalate any issues as they arise- Travel to tradeshows and customer sites required. Depending on assignment, international travel may be required- Fulfil responsibilities under ISO 9001, understand and fully support ISO system
What you’ll need- Graduate or master’s degree- Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Strong presentation skills required- Excellent phone skills and etiquette required- Willingness and ability to travel 50% international and/ or domestic- Fluent in English language, Hindi/ Urdu/ Arabic is an added advantage
What you’ve done
Experience should include:
- Three plus years’ experience in a sales capacity or equivalent position. Depending on channel, previously industry experience may be required- Proven track record of sales growth and/or prospecting- Ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy is required
