JobDescription

  • Develop and maintain a workingknowledge of Fairmont Hotels
  • Position FairmontDubai as the Six Simple Standardsleader
  • Deliver the Fairmont Service Promisecore beliefs and Occupational Health and Safetypolicies.
  • Develop and maintain close workingrelationships with all accounts to ensure that client expectationsare exceeded.
  • Maintain, acquire and develop newand existing accounts to increase “The Groups”market share through research, telesales, existing databasesetc.
  • Explore business opportunities and convertthem into room nights and revenue.
  • Remain up todate with regional and international developments and convert theseinto sales opportunities for “TheGroup”.
  • Acquire and maintain aworking knowledge and market intelligence of competitionportfolio.
  • Oversee the preparation anddistribution of sales communication plans associated with thelaunch of any new brands or products within Fairmont Hotels andResorts.
  • Collate, send and follow up proposals,contracts and credit agreements.
  • Check that allcontent produced by any of the Sales Team, internally orexternally, is always in keeping with Fairmont standards ofprocedure, best practice and companypolicy.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly andannual reports highlighting particular performance issues withaccounts or markets, suggesting analysis and proposed remedialactions.
  • Work with The Group management team todevelop and implement strategic and tactical sales plans across“The Group’s” portfolio and allmarket areas.
  • Actively manage personal andteams Sales Activity targets.
  • Oversee thepreparation of sales promotions and broadcasts and actively followup sales opportunities.
  • Organization,participation and agreed follow up will be required forexhibitions, road-shows, business trips, workshops/trainingcourses, site inspections and clientevents.
  • Maintain and grow all company loyaltyprograms.

Qualifications

  • University/College degree in arelated discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 3 yearsexperience in hotel sales. Additional experience in the hospitalityindustry an asset
  • Good understanding of luxurymarket
  • Good understanding of all hoteldepartments particularly housekeeping, front office, banquets andkitchen
  • Must have strong interpersonal skillswith attention to detail. Organization amust
  • Strong written and verbal communicationskills
  • A team player with a positiveattitude
  • Ability to handle multiple taskssimultaneously
  • Must be results oriented, with aneed to succeed
  • Must be organized and abilityto work and follow systems and procedures
  • Mustbe adaptable to change of strategy, ideas, systemsetc.
