Job Title: Demi Chef de Partie

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Accor. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and presentation, while ensuring the efficient operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Maintain the standards of performance as detailed in the Departmental Operations Manual to ensure the efficient operation of the department in accordance with Hotel Policy.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that guest needs and expectations are met by providing a consistently high standard of food preparation and presentation.
  • Outlet Identity: Assist in establishing the identity of the outlet by providing the standards of food presentation required by each outlet.
  • Recipe Knowledge: Be aware of the method of preparation and the standard recipe for every menu item in your particular kitchen and follow the procedures at all times.
  • Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain and clean all work areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils to the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene required by the hotel.
  • Teamwork: Co-ordinate with colleagues whenever necessary regarding operational problems.
  • Equipment Operation: Be familiar with the operational procedures of all equipment in the kitchen and operate them in the correct manner to ensure maximum efficiency and personal safety.
  • Meetings and Briefings: Participate in regular meetings and briefings as may be scheduled.
  • Safety and Hygiene: Understand and abide by all safety rules, emergency procedures, and fire prevention regulations.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Assist in the implementation of the various food safety and hygiene standards including HACCP and other Municipality regulations.
  • Hygiene Officer: Work closely with the Hygiene Officer in implementing all hygiene and safety procedures.
  • Training and Development: Participate in any scheduled training and development program that may improve personal or departmental standards.
