Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Hilton Hotels. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for contributing to menu creation, managing and training the kitchen brigade, and ensuring consistency in quality of dishes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to menu creation and development, ensuring dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage and train the kitchen brigade, ensuring a well-organised and motivated team that delivers exceptional service.
  • Ensure consistency in quality of dishes at all times, maintaining high standards of presentation and taste.
  • Assist the Head Chef and manage customer relations when necessary, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Ensure resources meet business needs through effective management of working rotas, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Support brand standards through training and assessment of your team, ensuring consistency in quality and service.
  • Manage food cost controls, contributing to Food and Beverage revenue and ensuring profitability.
  • Knowledge of activities in other departments and implications, ensuring a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

Requirements

  • Strong Junior Sous Chef or previous Sous Chef experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Approaches food in a creative way, with a passion for innovation and excellence.
  • Strong supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Positive attitude, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and quality.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, with a focus on guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Excellent grooming standards, with a professional and polished appearance.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
