Job Summary

GEMS Education seeks a highly skilled and experienced Sports Director to lead our school's athletic programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive Physical Education curriculum, managing sports programs, and fostering a positive and inclusive sports environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop a strategic vision for the sports department and Physical Education curriculum that aligns with the school's overall educational goals.
  • Sports Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sports department, including staff management, budget allocation, and facility maintenance.
  • Curriculum Development: Design, review, and enhance a comprehensive Physical Education curriculum that caters to different age groups and promotes physical fitness, motor skills, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and mentor sports coaches and Physical Education instructors to ensure they provide high-quality instruction and guidance to students.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with parents, students, and community stakeholders to promote the importance of physical education and sports in a well-rounded education.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sports program management, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of sports coaching, training techniques, and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and staff.
