About the JobAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Guest Services Coordinator - Front Office at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Welcoming and assisting guests upon arrival and departure, providing orientation to facilities.
- Managing group bookings, following standard procedures.
- Staying informed about all aspects of the facilities, products, and services, and providing personalized service to guests and frequent travelers.
- Assisting guests in person or by phone with bookings and inquiries.
- Handling payments via cash, credit, or debit cards, and minimizing rebates, ensuring proper justification and documentation.
- Conducting credit checks to ensure sufficient credit for in-house rooms.
- Securing advance payment guarantees at check-in.
- Performing cashiering duties, such as foreign currency exchange and paid outs.
- Maintaining guest privacy by not disclosing any guest details.
- Managing traces in Opera for arrivals and departures.
- Assigning rooms courteously and instructing bell desk to escort guests.
- Providing information on transport, dining, and sightseeing, and updating departure timelines and informing relevant departments.
- Knowing room and suite rates and being familiar with different currencies.
- Supporting Guest Relations, Concierge, and Club Executive Lounge as needed.
- Balancing individual cashier audits at the end of each shift.
- Maintaining and balancing the cash float.
- Assisting guests as needed, based on safety guidelines.
- Anticipating and addressing guest needs.
- Handling complaints promptly and seeking guest feedback.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with hotel management software, such as Opera, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and courteous demeanor.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and office software (e.g., MS Office).
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- High level of professionalism and grooming.
- Proficiency in one or more additional languages desired (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin, Arabic, German).
