Position Overview

The role of a Commis Chef specializing in Chinese Cuisine involves a variety of essential kitchen tasks that contribute to the overall success of our culinary operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ingredient Preparation: Accurately measure and prepare meal components for your designated section.
  • Meat Seasoning: Season and prepare various meats, including grilling and marinating as per the Chef's specifications.
  • Salad and Sauce Preparation: Assist in the preparation of basic salads and sauces as directed by the Chef.
  • Delivery Management: Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure all ordered items are received in good condition.
  • Inventory Control: Conduct inventory checks of restaurant supplies and alert the supervisor regarding low stock levels.
  • Food Safety: Dispose of expired and spoiled food items from storage areas, including stock rooms and refrigerators.
  • Sanitation Duties: Perform basic cleaning tasks and maintain a sanitized workstation.
  • Plating: Plate and present meal items according to the Chef's instructions.
