Job Title: Foreign Currency Trader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Foreign Currency Trader to join our team at AL Rostamani Group LLC. As a key member of our Dealing Room, you will be responsible for maximizing profits and minimizing risk by effectively managing foreign currency transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foreign Currency Management: Utilize effective strategies to maximize profits and minimize risk by covering the positions of major currencies with local market transactions, only with approved Exchange Houses, Banks, and Customers.
  • Currency Dealing: Deal with all local Money Service Businesses (MSBs) and Banks for their foreign currency requirements.
  • Branch Support: Handle all ARIE branches for their currency-related queries and monitor and support branches for increasing foreign currency income.
  • Staff Guidance: Evaluate and give guidance to staff for achieving targets and plan and implement seasonal foreign currency business for the company.
  • Cash Management: Track foreign currency margins on sale and purchase of currencies, monitor cash (foreign currency and AED) levels at branches on a daily basis, and interact with them to optimize funds positions within overall guidelines of Finance and Dealing Room.
  • Currency Balancing: Support branches and BND Unit to balance the supply and demand of currencies to avoid excessive stocks.
  • Cash Handling: Ensure all policy and procedures related to cash handling laid out in SOP are strictly followed and adhered to, and ensure error-free cash handling with no cash short/excess.
  • Market Options: Ensure liaising with dealing room and concerned departments on the usage of FX market options.

Requirements:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with branches, MSBs, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex problems related to foreign currency transactions.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy and attention to detail in cash handling and foreign currency transactions.
