- Anticipating Guest Needs: Anticipate guest needs by observing and providing prompt and efficient service either in person or through effective communication with other staff members.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels, recognizing the importance of teamwork in hotel operations.
- Knowledge of Hotel Facilities: Be knowledgeable about the facilities and points of interest in the surrounding areas to assist with any guest enquiries.
- Cash Handling and Foreign Currency Exchange: Maintain cash and accurately handle money at all times, being conversant and efficient with foreign currencies and their exchange rates to provide foreign currency exchange services to guests.
- Log Keeping and Handover: Maintain a daily log and make a helpful handover for next shifts, ensuring all relevant information is passed clearly.
- Work Area Maintenance: Maintain work area clean and tidy according to hotel standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong attention to detail. You will also need to be proficient in using computer systems and have a basic understanding of front desk procedures.
