The Income Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity of hotel operations by overseeing revenue audits and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehend ACCOR's Financial Goals: Develop a deep understanding of the company's objectives related to income auditing.
  • Implement Auditing Systems: Establish an efficient auditing framework for all hotel revenues and receipts.
  • Conduct Detailed Analyses: Provide in-depth financial analyses as required by various stakeholders in the Accounting and Cost Control departments.
  • Daily Revenue Reporting: Generate the Daily Revenue Flash, equipping Department Heads with essential revenue and statistical data for effective management of their profit centers.
  • Data Monitoring: Create a robust system to monitor data inputs from operational staff.
  • Audit Charges: Review charges to the city ledger and credit card companies prior to submission to Accounts Receivable.
  • Revenue Summaries Audit: Examine daily summaries of Rooms, Food & Beverage revenues and their supporting transaction reports as part of the Night Audit Process.
  • Telephone Revenue Verification: Audit revenue generated from telephone services.
  • Other Department Revenue Audits: Ensure completeness of revenues from other operational departments, including Laundry, Fitness Centre, and Business Centre.
  • Banquet Revenue Verification: Confirm that all Banquet revenues are accurately recorded by cross-referencing with function orders.
  • Voucher Review: Assess paid-out and allowance vouchers for accuracy, proper approvals, and supporting documentation.
  • Complimentary Room Verification: Validate supports for complimentary and house-use rooms, ensuring rates align with potential rack rates.
  • Rate Accuracy Spot Checks: Conduct spot checks on the accuracy of both regular and contractual room rates in the system.
  • Room Reconciliation: Verify computer-generated reports for occupied rooms against Housekeepers' reports and prepare a Room Reconciliation report for the Finance Manager's review.
