MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience with a proven track record of progressive management roles, including at least 4 to 5 years in operational management.
  • Experience in logistics and transportation is preferred.
  • Willingness to relocate for advancement opportunities into a Vice President of Operations role.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret various business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Capable of drafting reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Skilled in effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Competent in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Adept at solving practical problems and navigating a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Able to interpret diverse instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software, with the ability to learn proprietary technology software and programs. Strong computer skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and the governing bodies that enforce them.
  • Proven ability to engage and lead discussions and meetings with individuals and teams.
  • Capable of applying relevant policies consistently, timely, and objectively.
  • Skilled in collaborating with peers and associates from various departments, corporate offices, and the business community in a proactive and constructive manner.
  • Disciplined in adhering to established procedures and practices while complying with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ability to manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline-driven environment and customer service challenges. Demonstrates skill in making independent decisions that align with company policies and procedures in a timely manner.
  • Consistently reports to work on time and regularly; works effectively with others; demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • To excel in this role, the individual must successfully demonstrate all competencies associated with Director-level leadership frameworks.
