A320 First Officer Position

Position Overview:
As a First Officer on the A320, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo. You will assist the Commander in various capacities and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of the aircraft and its occupants.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Etihad's Operations Manual to perform your duties effectively.
- Assist the Commander with administrative tasks related to the flight as needed.
- Support the Commander in maintaining crew discipline and appearance standards.
- Execute flight duties as assigned by the Commander, adhering to Etihad's operating policies and procedures.
- Confirm the safe navigation of the aircraft, continuously monitoring geographical position and ensuring safe terrain and weather clearance.
- Conduct flights in accordance with the current flight plan, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the Commander’s directives when the Commander is not at the controls.
- Provide timely advice and assistance to the Commander to enhance the safe and efficient operation of the flight.
- Maintain a high standard of personal discipline and conduct as a representative of Etihad Airways.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
- At least 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit or high-performance military jet.
- A minimum of 500 hours on the A320 Family.
- Possession of a current and unrestricted ICAO ATPL; Frozen ATPLs are not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
- Current on A320 operations.
- Unrestricted Class 1 medical certification.
- Maximum age limit of 45 years.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) at Level 4 or better.

Additional Information:
- In cases of flight hours accumulated with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours will count towards the required minimums.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Fixed monthly salary of AED 26,000.
- Flight duty allowance based on years of service:
1-6 years: AED 40 per block hour
7-10 years: AED 56 per block hour
- Meal allowances during layovers vary by region:
Middle East/GCC/Sub Continent: AED 12 per hour
Asia/Far East: AED 15 per hour
Africa/Australasia: AED 18 per hour
Europe/Americas: AED 23 per hour
- Housing allowance up to AED per year.
- Education allowance for up to three children: AED 36,000 for primary and AED 50,400 for secondary education.
- Income protection scheme and 42 days of annual leave.
- Staff travel benefits and end-of-service benefits.
- Accidental and life insurance coverage.
