Job Purpose:

The Business Privacy Lead is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and marketing as technology continues to transform marketing through data-driven automations and integrations. This role ensures a streamlined relationship and planned improvement roadmap between IT and marketing, complementing marketing strategies with the technology required to bring them to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to identify technology requirements and liaise with IT and procurement to select suitable solutions.
  • Assist in creating digital business strategies by sharing technology information and advising on opportunities and risks.
  • Manage the implementation and adoption of marketing technology solutions across the marketing department, briefing and working closely with IT to ensure correct setup, data flows, and integrations.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of privacy compliance solutions for Emirates Group brands, focusing on enabling privacy-compliant marketing activations.
  • Document marketing technology requirements and work with IT and marketing teams to identify, shortlist, and assess technology vendors.
  • Brief IT and agency partners on technology requirements, integrations, data flows, automations, and safety controls.
  • Manage the introduction of new technology into the marketing technology stack and ensure integrations with other marketing technology products or organization platforms.
  • Train and support marketing staff on using new and existing marketing technology solutions.
  • Manage the marketing technology stack, optimizing investments and ensuring new solutions work optimally within the existing stack.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and set up change management programs for new marketing technology rollouts.
  • Stay abreast of new marketing technologies and recommend solutions in line with changes in privacy regulations and marketing strategies.
  • Implement and monitor data quality within marketing technology solutions and document and track quality issues.
  • Implement and monitor performance and other SLAs of marketing technology solutions.
  • Maintain compliance to Emirates Group privacy principles and act as the Data Privacy Network Liaison within marketing to ensure privacy and security of personal data.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree or Honours in a relevant discipline (e.g., Marketing, Digital Technologies, Digital Communications).
  • 8 years of industry experience in a marketing or digital organization with a record of successfully delivering complex products, specifically in:
  • Leading change and building consensus in a highly matrixed organizational structure.
  • Delivering large/enterprise-level projects.
  • Modern Privacy Compliance solutions.
  • Using data to deliver customer-centric marketing and customer experience programs in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Acquiring, implementing, and operating MarTech/AdTech products and services.
  • Managing product delivery and release in an agile environment.
  • Working with product and engineering teams to deliver customer-facing features.
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Expert knowledge of implementing and managing privacy compliance solutions for marketing consent management.
  • Expert knowledge of privacy-compliant first-party data activation.
  • Working knowledge of Privacy regulations and key considerations for ethical personalization.
  • Working knowledge of CDPs, personalization, and A/B testing platforms.
  • Understanding of AI/ML and its applications in marketing.
  • Working knowledge of Marketing Segmentation and Audience management.
  • Understanding of cloud tools and components (hands-on experience with Google Marketing Cloud is desirable).
  • Working knowledge of cloud security principles.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and workstreams with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
