Job Summary:

The Outlet Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient management of the outlet, adhering to established concept statements and operating standards. This role involves assigning responsibilities to subordinates, checking their performance, and maintaining a clean and organized outlet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the outlet is managed efficiently according to established concept statements.
  • Adhere to all operating standards to achieve the level of service established in the Departmental Operations Manual.
  • Assign responsibilities to subordinates and check their performance periodically.
  • Be on the floor at all times to assist in operations during busy periods.
  • Ensure par stocks for operating equipment and supplies are strictly adhered to.
  • Assist in conducting monthly inventory checks on operating equipment and supplies.
  • Control the requisitioning, storage, and use of operating equipment and supplies.
  • Attend Daily Operations Meetings in the absence of the Outlet Manager or Assistant Outlet Manager.
  • Maintain a clean and organized outlet, including the front and back areas.
  • Liaise with Housekeeping and Stewarding Departments to ensure established cleaning schedules are adhered to.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift briefings to ambassadors on preparation, service, and menu.
  • Liaise with the Kitchen and Beverage Department on daily operations and quality.
  • Handle guest complaints, requests, and enquiries on food, beverage, and service.
  • Establish a rapport with guests, maintaining good customer relationships.
  • Ensure outlet cashiering procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Assist in revising and updating the outlet Departmental Operations Manual as required.
  • Assist in planning and organizing festive food promotions with the Outlet Manager and Assistant.
  • Maintain the outlet Daily Log Book.
  • Assist in planning the outlet weekly roster and work schedules to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Maintain the outlet bulletin board.
  • Submit all guest/ambassador incident reports.
  • Report lost and found items.
  • Issue repair and maintenance job orders to ensure proper maintenance of the outlet.
  • Maintain a good rapport and working relationship with ambassadors and other departments.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks assigned by the Food and Beverage Department.
  • Assist in the training of ambassadors to ensure they have necessary skills.
  • Perform duties with maximum efficiency and in the most productive manner.
  • Conduct and/or contribute to regular departmental Communications Meetings.
  • Attend training and meetings as required.
  • Ensure rosters are posted and timesheets submitted on time.
  • Adhere to terms and conditions of employment, local legislation, and company/hotel policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with the Food and Beverage Department and Human Resources Department on training sessions.
  • Conduct ambassador yearly performance appraisals.
  • Identify and develop young talents within the organization for future growth.
  • Carry out monthly, quarterly, bi-yearly, and yearly inventory of operating equipment.
  • Be flexible and adapt to rotate within different outlets of the Food and Beverage Department.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by the Outlet Manager and Assistant.
