Job Title: Strategic Growth Manager (Building & Construction)

A leading Steel Fabrication firm is seeking a Strategic Growth Manager to enhance our Building & Construction division.

Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate business relationships with various stakeholders including general contractors, engineers, architects, and property owners within the construction sector. This role demands continuous market analysis to inform and guide the company's strategic direction.

This position is pivotal to the company's expansion and will contribute significantly to our success. We are looking for a highly driven individual who excels in teamwork, possesses strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrates exceptional organizational abilities. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to manage multiple projects effectively are essential. A foundational understanding of Steel & Architectural Fabrication and installation is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop new business accounts and strengthen existing client relationships to secure significant construction contracts.

2. Employ strategic account planning and sales pipeline management techniques.

3. Adhere to a structured sales process that encompasses prospecting, qualifying, identifying client needs, and presenting tailored solutions.

4. Collaborate with the operations team to execute strategic initiatives that generate business opportunities and meet revenue targets.

5. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer expectations.

6. Make decisions that align with long-term growth strategies and core company values.

7. Engage with industry and community organizations, acting as a brand ambassador.

8. Review and approve prequalification documentation for projects.

9. Participate in project pursuit teams.

10. Coordinate with the Proposal/Marketing team and Estimating as necessary.

11. Contribute to the planning and execution of all sales and marketing activities, including lead identification and proposal development.

12. Qualify project opportunities and identify high-potential clients using strategic account management techniques.

13. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

14. Foster and maintain relationships with vendors, owners, architects, and government officials.

15. Track client interactions using Client Relationship Management (CRM) software.

16. Build and sustain strong customer-focused relationships with key stakeholders.

17. Engage with targeted developers, architects, and market influencers to gather essential information.

18. Analyze market conditions and trends to support strategic planning and secure new business.

Additional Duties:

19. Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting and analyzing sales data and industry trends.

20. Submit orders by collaborating with technical support and addressing engineering changes.

21. Develop negotiation strategies by assessing integration with company objectives and evaluating risks.

22. Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, negotiating contracts, and aligning them with business operations.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.

Experience:

1. A minimum of ten years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry.

2. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong presentation abilities.

3. Proven organizational, leadership, negotiation, and delegation skills.

4. Ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals in various settings.

5. Demonstrated capability to build lasting positive relationships with clients.

Scope:

This role encompasses overall responsibility for planning, developing, and executing programs essential to the company's operations, with accountability for business unit results.
