Key Responsibilities:- Supervise Kitchen Operations: Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food items in accordance with our hotel's SOPs and standardized menu guidelines.
- Quality Control: Monitor regular standards of production to ensure the highest level of quality and consistency.
- Cost Control: Monitor all aspects pertaining to the control of the hotel's food cost.
- Concept Development: Participate in the drafting of concept ideas and menus for all special events and functions, encouraging employee input and utilizing their ideas wherever practical.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure HACCP standards are implemented and follow the appropriate hygiene standards as per Municipality requirements at all times.
- Training and Development: Ensure consistent on-the-job training sessions for culinary colleagues and promote health and safety.
Requirements:
- Culinary Qualifications: Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training course.
- Experience: At least three years of experience in quality establishments.
- Skills: Excellent culinary skills, ability to communicate well in English, and proven track record of food preparation, presentation, and preservation knowledge.
