About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Capability Coach to join our team at Emirates. As a key member of our IT organization, you will play a critical role in driving the implementation of scaled agile practices across all IT functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Agile Transformation: Prioritize the implementation of agile practices in line with our technology strategy, taking a pragmatic approach to ensure successful adoption.
  • Collaborate with IT Functions: Work closely with IT functions and business stakeholders to design, launch, and nurture cross-functional Agile Release Trains (ARTs) that deliver business value at enterprise scale.
  • Coach IT Teams: Provide coaching and training to IT teams on lean-agile mindset, team autonomy, and servant leadership, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in an agile environment.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in the technology industry, identifying opportunities to enhance our ways of working and drive positive outcomes for the company.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Develop and implement key metrics to measure the success of our agile initiatives, ensuring we are tracking the right data to inform our decision-making.
  • Community Building: Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing across IT functions, enabling communities of practice to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Tooling and Process: Ensure the effective use of programme management, collaboration, and agile project management tools, helping IT functions to adopt agile practices that meet their needs.
  • Quality and Delivery: Enable built-in quality practices in autonomous teams, ensuring that each solution element meets the required quality standards throughout development.
  • Delivery Practices: Guide teams in selecting the most appropriate delivery practices to maximize outcomes, including Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
  • Transparency and Alignment: Implement fit-for-purpose processes and outcome-oriented metrics to ensure transparency and alignment across portfolio, programme, and team levels of the IT organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Product Management, Applied Sciences, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • Experience: 8 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Agile Coaching, with a strong background in programme and delivery management, technical product management, architecture and design, software development, and DevOps.
  • Certifications: Certified SAFe 5/6 Program Consultant (SPC) or equivalent.
