About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Transformation Expert to join our team at Emirates. As a Senior IT Capability Coach, you will play a key role in driving the implementation of scaled agile practices across all IT functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Agile Transformation: Collaborate with IT functions and business stakeholders to design, launch, and nurture cross-functional Agile Release Trains (ARTs) that enable business value at enterprise scale with high levels of autonomy and empowerment.
  • Coach and Enable Teams: Coach people across IT on lean-agile mindset, team autonomy, and servant leadership. Collaborate with the Tech Academy to provide training and work closely with Learning & Talent to align and resource developmental coaching, leadership, teaming, and culture initiatives to corporate standards.
  • Research and Implement Best Practices: Research evolution on contemporary ways of working in the technology industry. Identify best practices that will enable positive outcomes for Emirates and collaborate with IT leadership to implement new and enhanced ways of working.
  • Metrics and Portfolio Management: Identify key metrics around time to market, quality, productivity, and people engagement. Implement the right metrics and portfolio, program, and team-level metrics in collaboration with functions and teams.
  • Community Building: Nurture communities of practice that enable people with common interests in technical or business domains to collaborate regularly, improve skills, and actively advance knowledge of the domain.
  • Process Improvement: Ensure proper use of program management, collaboration, and agile project management tools. Help all IT functions use agile toolsets with a pragmatic approach that enables right agile practices for software development and other work in IT.
  • Quality Assurance: Enable built-in quality practices in autonomous teams. Ensure that each solution element at each increment meets the appropriate quality standards throughout development.
  • Delivery Practices: Guide teams to select the appropriate delivery practices that maximize outcomes expected from the team. These include practices like Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or a hybrid approach depending on the nature of work to be done and outcomes to be achieved.
  • Transparency and Alignment: Enable transparency and alignment between portfolio, program, and team levels of the IT organization by implementing fit-for-purpose processes and outcome-oriented metrics.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in areas such as Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Product Management, Applied Sciences, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • Experience: 8 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Agile Coaching, though less experience may be considered.
  • Certification: Certified SAFe 5/6 Program Consultant (SPC).
  • Technical Skills: Experience in Information Technology in disciplines like Program and Delivery Management, Technical Product Management, Architecture and Design, Software Development, DevOps and Automation, and End-to-End Quality Assurance.
