Job Description

Aldar Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our core IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Administration: Administer and maintain our Windows-based systems, group policies, and Active Directory domain controllers.
  • Network and Systems Support: Provide technical support and maintenance for our network and systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software errors, running diagnostics, and documenting problems and resolutions.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Security and Compliance: Administer enterprise security solutions, including anti-virus and Veeam backup, and ensure compliance with relevant security and regulatory requirements.
  • Desktop and Helpdesk Support: Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, resolving issues with desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment in a timely manner.
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance, perform routine/scheduled audits of systems, and implement upgrades and patches as necessary.
  • Mobile Device Management: Configure and upgrade mobile devices (iOS, Android) and manage them centrally through Meraki MDM, Intune, and other MDM solutions.
  • File Server Administration: Administer and maintain file servers, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Disaster Recovery Site Management: Monitor and maintain our disaster recovery site (Azure or other).
  • Software and Application Support: Support and resolve software and application issues, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage, Office 365, SCCM, virtual machines, and required web apps.
  • Helpdesk Operations: Utilize our IT helpdesk solution for routine IT operations, ensuring effective and efficient support for end-users.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical skills and experience in IT system administration, network support, and security.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
