Raffles Club Assistant Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Satisfaction: Manage and supervise all tasks of staff to ensure maximum guest satisfaction through personal recognition and prompt cordial attention from arrival to departure.
  • Lounge Management: Manage and supervise the lounge during operating hours.
  • Food and Beverage: Liaise with the kitchen on food selection for Breakfast, High Tea, and Cocktail Hour.
  • Guest Experience: Meet and greet all guests personally.
  • Repeat Guest History: Oversee maintenance of efficient repeat guest history system.
  • Sales and Promotions: Promote InterHotel sales and in-house facilities.
  • Special Requests: Perform functions to include but not be limited to preparing Raffles Club guest welcome letters, monitoring guest comment cards and feedback, attending to special requests by guests, and handling guest complaints and referring them as necessary for follow-up on corrective action.
  • Cost Control: Compile, analyze, and control Raffles Club costs and inventory.
  • Requisitions: Prepare requisitions for amenities on a timely basis.
  • Service Standards: Ensure and maintain entire range of services offered for the Raffles Club Lounge.
  • Staff Supervision: Appraise appearance, discipline, and efficiency of all staff under direct supervision.
  • Staff Meetings: Organize and conduct regular meetings for Raffles Club staff to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Staff Scheduling: Prepare efficient work and vacation schedules for Raffles Club staff, taking into consideration project occupancy and forecasts and any large group movements.
  • Special Projects: Perform related duties and special projects assigned.
  • Departmental Performance: Work with the Superior and Human Resource Manager to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive. Duties include planning for future staffing needs and recruiting in line with company guidelines, preparing detailed induction programmes for new staff, analyzing training needs of Front Office staff and developing training programmes, conducting probation and formal performance appraisals, coaching, counseling, disciplining staff, and providing constructive feedback to staff.
  • Budget Management: Work with the Superior in the preparation and management of departmental budgets, controlling and monitoring departmental costs on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget.

    • Opera Property Management System: Knowledge of Opera Property Management System preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Degree: Degree from School for Tourism & Hotel Management.

Experience:

  • Minimum Experience: Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience with at least 2 years at a supervisory level.
