**Your New Role**
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to embark on a career in supply chain management? Join our dynamic team as a Supply Chain Administrator, where you'll play a crucial role in verifying, maintaining, and managing records on incoming and outgoing shipments. This role involves preparing items for shipment, coordinating transportation, and ensuring accuracy in all documentation.
**What You Can Expect from the Role**
**Key Responsibilities and accountabilities**:
- Using standard office software to carry out basic formatting on letters, memoranda and routine reports
- Maintaining and retrieving accurate files and records from company filing systems
- Communication with external & internal stakeholders
- Following a mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct
- Examining shipment contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy
- Preparing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials
- Conferring & corresponding with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications
- Determining shipping methods, routes or rates for materials to be shipped
- Comparing shipping routes or methods to determine which have the least environmental impact
- Recording shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes
- Packing, sealing, labelling or affixing postage to prepare materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools or postage meter
- Requisitioning and stores shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
- Computing amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list
**The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have**
**Essential Criteria**:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Educated to secondary / intermediate level, with 5 or more GCSE or equivalent grades
- Good time management skills
**Desirable**
- Previous experience in similar role will be advantages
