This role includes supporting the team within Digital Business Services (DBS) COO in the delivering ongoing BAU requirement and submissions. The main focus will center on engaging and following-up with different DBS stakeholders including Global Businesses (GB) and Global Functions (GF) as required within Middle East and North Africa & Turkey (MENAT) and UAE
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Support Head of Business Management in delivering their key objectives and responsibilities through partnering with GB/GFs on operational management, streamlining, governance of DBS service provision, and strategy execution.
- Develop DBS relationship and engagement model with the Regional GB/GFs teams.
- Assist in reviewing of key risk/governance papers and following through actions relating to CCO.
- Assist with preparation and reviewing key issues, MI, RAS, KRIs, KPIs metrics, and regulatory requests.
- Support DBS Chief Control Officer with (CCO) related activities i.e. Issue management, Incident management, Governance & Regulatory Reporting, Risk & Controls Assessments, etc. Support DBS Head of Transformation with general/specific Project Management activities pertaining to Change Execution initiatives and Governance.
- Support DBS alignment with Global and Regional vision and implementation of country strategy.
- Providing relevant information and analysis required to DBS Chief of Staff (CoS) and Function Heads to manage an effective and efficient COO operation across the region, and support their objective to ensure balancing operating capability with cost.
- Build network and close working relationship with all stakeholders at function, business, and region levels.
- Ensuring a high quality of work by taking responsibility for one’s own work.
- Enable stakeholders to manage and monitor delivery and quality by improving engagement and communication with internal stakeholders. This include Global, Regional and in-country stakeholders.
- Support the MEANT DBS COO driving the People agenda and embed a High-Performance culture.
- Assist in embedding HSBC and DBS culture and hold DBS standards with our stakeholders.
- Works with team members to ensure goals, objectives, and initiatives are achieved. Conducts activities that reflect the HSBC brand and values

Requirements
**Experience & Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree is a must to obtain UAE visa.
- General understanding of corporate governance framework and operational risk concepts and standards
- Ability to analyze information and identify potential areas of concern that are fact-based
- Ability to learn and understand how global business and global functions interacts and engage toward a shared-purpose
- Able to act in an organized and timely manner
- Demonstrates ownership of topics and actively protects HSBC’s reputation
- Works well across diverse team and is willing to assist others as needed
- Exposure to an operations or control environment
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills, both verbally and written
- Good understanding of data and systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience of working effectively within a large team / collaborating for succeess
- Proactive / self-starter with ability to meet challenging deadlines
