**Job functions and responsibilities**:

- Evaluate, negotiate, and structure reinsurance contracts to optimize risk mitigation and financial performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with reinsurance partners to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor reinsurance claims and settlements to ensure compliance with agreements and timely resolution.
- Collaborate with underwriters and actuaries to assess risk exposure and determine appropriate reinsurance strategies.
- Provide technical support to underwriters, claims adjusters, and other relevant departments in the company.
- Analyze and interpret data to support decision-making processes, pricing models, and policy development.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to insurance systems, software, and data management.
- Ensure that technical aspects of insurance policies are accurately implemented and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and lead a team of reinsurance and technical support professionals, including setting performance goals, providing guidance, and conducting regular performance reviews.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on reinsurance performance, technical support metrics, and recommendations to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of reinsurance agreements, claims, and technical support activities.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and emerging best practices to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.

**Educational qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, insurance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

**Skills and competencies**:

- Proven experience in reinsurance management and technical support within the insurance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of reinsurance principles, insurance products, and underwriting processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance in the insurance industry.
