Pharma Sales Supervisor: OTC, Vitamins

**Main Objective**: Achieving growth in the business, setting new selling standards
This position will report to the Senior Management and will oversee the following tasks:
- Identify suitable growth channels and coordinate supply chain
- Supervise a small number of sales executives and guide them to achieve their targets
- Oversee sales and marketing of selected products, monitor stock to ensure availability
- Prepare business plans and budgets, set unit’s targets and monitor performance.
**Job Objective**:
- Responsible and accountable for supervising a team of up to six sales representatives, creating their schedules, daily routes and delegating tasks and targets to ensure the correct service levels, distribution and display of company products
- Assessing the work performance of sales reps and identifying areas that need improvement
- Ensuring that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met
- Management and communication timely and effectively to the team members and also customer relationships.
- Responsible for drawing the monthly activity plans of the sales team.
- Responsible for requesting resources and allocating resources to team monthly bases.
- Effective and efficient execution of pharmacy detailing plans and programs, and brand ambassador plans and programs.
- On time reporting of team's execution, feedback and achievement on weekly and monthly bases.
- Keeping a track of Competitor's activity in the market & inform the Marketing team.
- To be able to provide innovative ideas for OTC activities for different brands & then lead the execution after discussion with the Marketing team.
- Responsible and accountable for expiry control for all routes and outlets under his supervision.
- Responsible and accountable for the implementation and management of company strategies and plans in the area under his supervision.
- Responsible and accountable for the leadership, training and coaching of personnel under his direct supervision.
**Principal Responsibilities**:
- Ensure all sales routes under his supervision have up to date route plans.
- Ensure all customer data integrity is continually updated and correct.
- Ensure that all routes under his supervision have the correct quantity and mix of products on a daily basis as per the company must stock list.
- Responsible for ensuring that outlets under his supervision meet the companies ’Picture of Success’ standards.
- Conduct a minimum of 2 ‘work withs’ in the market on route per salesmen under his supervision on a monthly basis.
- Review daily the service levels and sales volume and expiry performance by route with each salesman in his team. This should be measured against the salesman’s agreed route plan.
- Responsible for the achievement of distribution targets under his area of supervision.
- Responsible to deliver monthly sales volume for his supervisory area.
- Responsible to ensure the correct visibility and display of products in all outlets is as per the company agreed standards.
- Responsible for ensuring that sales reps under his control deposit collections immediately after receipt.
- Responsible for the investigation and control of non compliance to company standards and policies.
- Provide reports to top management like sales reports, lead generation reports, customer complaints reports, and new customers’ on-boarded reports.
- Prepare sales presentations and other sales tools.
- Assist the line managers to ensure adequate client communication, maintain contacts with clients and provide feedback.
- Initiate sales activities, strategies, and sales plans required to build brand visibility.
- Serve as a point of reference to employees in terms of showing great work ethic, habits, personal character, and professional character.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of prospects, leads, pricing, sales activities, and active clients.
- Controlling company marketing expenses to ensure the marketing expenditure is kept within budget.
- Attend trade shows and other marketing events and represent the organization.
- Evaluate the performance of the sales team and seek ways to improve the team’s performance.
- Identify the trends in the market, both current, and future that are likely to affect the performance of the organization.
- Ensure the items are displayed correctly in the malls, supermarkets, and other sales points.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related course with emphasis on marketing.
- Proven work experience in marketing and achieving set targets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication.
- Ability to lead and motivate a sales team, and put in place measures to retain a great team.
- Excellent selling skills, ability to close deals, and deal with post-purchase follow-ups.
- Ability to identify potential areas of growth and identify new business partnership opportunities.
