Aldar Education is currently seeking a** Group Head - Community Engagement and Sustainability **to support our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE. Due to planned current and future expansion we are looking to add to our Team supporting our British, US and IB curricula network of schools.

**Job Purpose**
- To embody the values, vision and ethos of Aldar Education and to assist the education team in delivering policy which will ensure high quality and successful community partnerships and community programmes supporting the work of Aldar Education, our schools and other community focussed initiatives.
- To support the education and operations teams in achieving the key sustainability objects for individual schools within the network through developing and implement a central sustainability strategy alongside colleagues in operations and schools.
- To support the Education and ATA team in design, creation and delivery of training courses aligned to the community engagement and sustainability goals.
- To identify individual school and group wide support requirements and provide assistance to colleagues.
- To lead on the development of strong and meaningful community relationships ensuring that each school has partnerships relevant to its context and USPs.
- To work alongside the operations teams in the monitoring, evaluation and continuous review of the quality and effectiveness of school and group wide sustainability initiatives.
- To support the identification of best practice and practitioners in the areas of community engagement and sustainability from across the network and work alongside the various Learning Networks to provide individual school support where necessary.
- To support the sustainability goals of the group especially at school level and through education initiatives and curriculum adaption.
- To model the values and vision of Aldar Education.
- To be a role model to staff and students.
- To have high expectations of all staff and students.
- Identify professional development needs of those you line manage or work with and address with CPD.
- To undertake and carry out any other such comparable duties commensurate with the grade of the post, as required by your Line Manager.
- To lead by example to maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Main Duties**:

- To create, develop and support the team with the group sustainability initiatives especially at school level.
- To be able to effectively deliver high-quality CPD workshops in primary education to Aldar Education staff, HQ and external customers as necessary.
- To work as part of the wider school education team at Head Quarters (HQ) to enhance provision in schools and ensure that community partnerships in practice provides all learners with dynamic and innovative learning opportunities.
- To work with the ATA team to provide staff training on relevant education, community and sustainability matters
- To act as a source of support, advice and expertise to staff on community matters, sustainability and other general education matters. Producing educational materials to support schools where necessary.
- Provide critical feedback and support to schools on their sustainability strategies and to measure the impact of the same.

- To work with the education team to provide support to Executive Management on document and bid preparation materials for new projects pertaining to educational matters.
- To maintain and update knowledge and skills in line with legislation and the needs of the role.
- To attend Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training as required.
- To undertake any additional training as part of performance development process.
- To keep up to date with the latest educational research in particular around parent partnerships, community engagement and school-industry links.
- To gain insight, promote and improve the work of operations’ sustainability strategy and related initiatives.
- Support the Education team with the development of networks to share best practice.
- To support the wider Education, ATA and Operations teams in meeting group strategic aims.
- To participate in the Aldar Education continuous performance review (appraisal) scheme and work towards achieving and or exceeding of targets set
- To co-create, develop and deliver staff training on educational matters and ensure that all education courses are operated to the highest standards
- To source community and industry links that will add value to school provision.
- To ensure that all schools make community links that serve the local and national community needs and priorities as well as support the delivery of school and AE objectives.
